1. Liquefaction countermeasures for Soft sandy ground at Left bank retaining wall section

The Niigata earthquake emerged in 1964 brought up large matters through serious damages such as settling down of buildings by liquefaction. This requested necessary designs for liquefaction countermeasure in the construction site of the Niigata Minato tunnel. Here, we wish to introduce the measures taken in designing of the left bank retaining wall.

  • Application of liquefaction countermeasures as combination method with temporary landslide protection wall
