Outline of new technology utilization system in public works (NETIS)

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport established the "New technology utilization promotion system in public projects" in FY2001, Taking account of the actual situation in the interim operations and the utilization of new technologies, the system was totally re-organized into a system emphasizing post evaluation and fully employed from August 1, 2006 as the "New technology utilization system in public works".
Accordingly, promotion of new technology development and usage of excellent new technologies in private organizations are expected to lead to quality improvement and cost reduction in public works,
